First "Model" Shoot

Lisa, an aspiring model, called me up last week to ask if I'd do some headshots for a pageant she will be in. Well, not knowing anything about the pageant world, she clarified that they needed to be "natural" headshots. So, I was up for the challenge. We had a great time and I learned a few things about "models" in the process in comparison to my own active toddler. See insights as follows...

1. Models= eye contact
Own Toddler= no eye contact

2. Models= like to be photographed
Own Toddler= immuned to the camera/runs away

3. Models= follows directions
Own Toddler= follows own direction

Wow...beautiful subject. Beautiful photographer's skill.

The second one in color seems so vibrant and just....indescribable...clear and pristine? Of course, I'm drawn to colored photos though.

I'm tellin' ya...photography business + Natalie = success!

I've done a book review on How Not To Look Old and will be giving away 5 copies. You might want to check it out.
